This one minute video is a quick example of how supposedly “healthy” cereal can be deceptive.
A breakfast high in sugar can cause an early rise in the peptide hormone insulin. Insulin is largely responsible for driving sugar in to muscles to be used for fuel. Too much overexposure to this hormone may lead to insulin resistance…also known as diabetes. In my opinion, insulin resistance is the number one reason why people are becoming more overweight and why it is becoming so difficult for many to keep the weight off.
